Yoga is for Everybody. This Super Simplified Introduction to Yoga short course is designed to take away your worries about attendig your first yoga class. Sherie will demystify the common misconceptions about Yoga and help you establish a committed practice, whether at home or in studio.
We will begin by breaking down the basic foundations and principles of a sound and safe practice, how to maximize the potential of proper breathing in yoga, most common yoga poses, the importance of alignment and intention setting. The significance of establishing a breathing practice and connecting that breath to your movement will be explained. We'll briefly touch with on what you might expect in different types of yoga classes so you can choose the style that best suits you and your needs, as well as go over some common studio etiquette. To wrap up we'll do a short yoga class incorporating what we've learned and some of the poses so you can experience the benefits of yoga and gain the confidence to attend your first yoga class.
