About The Event

Yoga is for Everybody.  This Super Simplified Introduction to Yoga short course is designed to take away your worries about attendig your first yoga class. Sherie will demystify the common misconceptions about Yoga and help you establish a committed practice, whether at home or in studio.  

We will begin by breaking down the basic foundations and principles of a sound and safe practice, how to maximize the potential of proper breathing in yoga, most common yoga poses, the importance of alignment and intention setting. The significance of establishing a breathing  practice and connecting that breath to your movement will be explained. We'll briefly touch with on what  you might expect in different types of yoga classes so you can choose  the style that best suits you and your needs, as well as go over some common studio etiquette.  To wrap up we'll do a short yoga class incorporating what we've learned and some of the poses so you can experience the benefits of yoga and gain the confidence to attend your first yoga class.  If you've wondered if yoga might  be right for you, or if you want an opportunity to strengthen your  foundation of yoga, join Sherie for this informative, fun and laid back introductory course. This class is geared for the new yogi, but is open to all, even the most advanced practitioner.

Class is held in a private studio location in Mokena, IL.  The Zen  Space is  set within a spacious 1-acre yard, designed to give you  a  peaceful  place where you can relax and rebalance your Zen. Guests must  bring their own mats & other props for their comfort. There will  be  assigned  spaces to safely distance. Face coverings are encouraged upon  checking  in and may be removed once guests arrive on their mats.  Temperature  checks will be done for everyone's safety.

We look forward to welcoming you in our meditative sanctuary.   Class  size is limited to 8.  Please pre-register at least an hour to secure  spots.
