2-Hour Outdoor Kids Yoga & Meditation in the Zen Garden

Give your kids the gift of mindfulness, calming practices, new friends and fun exploration of movements through yoga designed for their age. Kids will learn basic yoga poses, breathing exercises and short meditations. A fun class that will help build confidence and self-esteem while learning relaxation and coping techniques during this time of pandemic and remote learning.
The benefits of yoga for children include stress relief, balance of high or low energy levels, improved focus and a boost in imagination and creativity. Class is led by mom and yoga teacher, Sherie Sloane, E-RYT/ YA-CEP. Sherie is an experienced kids yoga teacher who has led yoga, art classes and camps across the states for many years.
Class will take place in an acre backyard, in front of a Japanese Zen Garden, with clean, air-conditioned, outdoor restroom. There will be plenty of space to social distance. Kids must bring their own mats & other props for their comfort. Face coverings are encouraged upon checking in and may be removed once kids arrive on their mats. Temperature checks will be done for everyone's safety. Class schedule is currently Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays 2-4pm (weather permitting) throughout Fall. Winter Dates TBA.
